Food deliveries into the impacted area have been under seige as desperation strikes the hungry. In the center photo, the ship you see on the horizon was the first significant aid relief to arrive in Abricots. The ship's intended destination was nearby Jeremie, but, because unrest made the area unsafe for aid volunteers the vessel was thankfully diverted to Abricots.
It is difficult to clearly understand how remarkable it is, that after so many days without knowing where the next meal would come from, when aid finally arrived the people of Abricots gathered peacefully and respectfully to wait their turn.
Abricots has always been a place where hope reigns victorious in word and in action. They are a truly uncommon people, grateful for and worthy of everything they recieve. See more . . .
